SECOND QUARTER NEWS LETTER: April, May, June 2026


2026 Officers and Directors

Youth Committee                                                      

The Youth Committee reports on progress with their Waupaca School District Trap  & Skeet Club activities and projects at each monthly meeting. Serving on the   committee are Matthew Schmidt, Olivia Petrovs, Ezra Woodliff, Gavin Collins.  These youth will serve until May 31st, 2026.  


Winter Trap League        

First place, 1st Class; Betts, Bros.  First lace, 2nd Class Ezra’s Team. Over and done, all had a good time!!                                             


2026 Annual Membership Fee 

Annual fee is $55.00; Includes spouse and children through their 17th year.                                                         


Clay Target Fees 

Practice trap and skeet target fees; $5.00 for 25 targets. Youth 17 and under $4.00 for 25 targets.  12- and 20-gauge shells available for $9.00 per box, sales tax included on all fees. 

                                                                                                                                                                         SIGHT IN RANGE   

Rules covering the use of the sight in range are posted on the range bulletin board.  As a reminder, paper targets only. Pick up your empty casings, targets, and dispose of them in the dumpsters. Word of caution to members using the range.  Check your ammo to ensure you have the correct cartridges for your firearms.  There have been mishaps on the range in the past with wrong ammo.                        Muzzle loading firearms should be checked to ensure they are not loaded prior to coming to the range. Put the red range flag up on arrival, and if the last person leaving the range, take it down.  


ACTIVITIES     

Trap and skeet fields will be open on Tuesday nights, starting around 5:00PM, until about 7:30PM, pending turnouts.  


Wednesday April 8th: Summer Trap League Meeting/Sign up; 7:00PM 


SIGHT IN RANGE CLOSED: April 13th through April 16th; 9:00AM to 5:00PM 


Saturday April 18th: Spring cleanup day. Grounds, range, trap and skeet house maintenance, etc.! All members are welcome to help clean up your facilities. Starts at 9:00AM, lunch included, done mid-afternoon. Bring, rakes, shovel, chain saw, and we need a small garden tractor to pull lawn sweeper. Or 4-wheeler with a low hitch.  


Sunday April 26th; Fundraiser Comet Clay Crushers. 50 target trap shoots, 25 target 5 Stand, Raffles, Lunch, Refreshments, New Shells available.  A flier will be emailed to members with email addresses on file.  


Tuesday, April 28th; Monthly Meeting; Dinner at 6;00PM, meeting at 7:00PM. 


Wednesday April 29th; SUMMER TRAP LEAGUE BEGINS, per schedule; and trap fields open for practice from 5:00PM to 6:00PM. Field 5 may be open longer, pending number of STL teams. 


Tuesday May 26th; Annual Fish Fry and monthly meeting. Dinner at 6:00PM, meeting at 7:00PM. All are welcome! 


RANGES CLOSED Sunday May 31st; Grounds are rented 


RANGES CLOSED Sunday June 6th; Grounds are rented. 


RANGES CLOSED Saturday June 13th; 9:00AM until 6:00PM 


June 14th; FLAG DAY Trap and Skeet Event; Open to the public. Flier to follow. 


June 23rd; Monthly meeting, 7:00PM
