WAUPACA CONSERVATION LEAGUE 

THIRD QUARTER NEWS LETTER: July August September 2025

2025 Membership 

Annual memberships are valid from January 1st to December 31st each year. Fee for calendar year 2025 is $55.00. A membership application/renewal form was mailed out in December. Fees are not prorated. Membership includes spouse and their children through their 17th birthday. 


YOUTH COMMITTEE 

The Youth Committee reports on progress with their Waupaca School District Trap & Skeet Club activities and projects at each monthly meeting. Serving on the  committee are Matthew Schmidt, Olivia Petrovs, Ezra Woodliff, Gavin Collins. These youth will serve until May 31st, 2026.


SUMMER TRAP LEAGUE

Our Summer Trap League is well underway. All is going great. A couple rainy nights, but, no shut downs! We end on Wednesday August 27th


CLAY TARGET FEES

Practice trap and skeet target fees for practice shooting; $5.00 for 25 targets. Youth 17 and under $4.00 for 25 targets. Five stand sporting clay targets will be determined based on type of targets thrown and will vary between $7.00 and $10.00 per 25 targets. 


SIGHT IN RANGE 

Rules covering the use of the sight in range are posted on the range bulletin board. As a reminder, paper targets only. Pick up your empty casings, targets, and dispose of them in the dumpsters. Word of caution to members using the range. Check your ammo to ensure you have the correct cartridges for your firearms. There have been mishaps on the range in the past with wrong ammo. Muzzle loading firearms should be checked to ensure they are not loaded prior to coming to the range. Put the red range flag up on arrival, and if the last person leaving the range, take it down. 


ACTIVITIES

We are open for practice trap and skeet shooting on Tuesday nights from 5:00PM to 7:30PM. Trap field 5 will be open on Wednesday nights from 5;00PM to 8:00PM, barring no break downs on fields 1 through 4. Two skeet fields will be available for practice too.

 

July 20th, Sunday; Combo Trap and Skeet Shoots. 50, 16yard trap, 50 handicap trap, and 50 skeet events. Enter as many times as you want. See the flyer on our home page.


July 9th; Meat Raffle, 6:30PM until over Proceeds used for painting the voice activated speaker carts.


July 16th; Wednesday; ANNUAL BRAT FRY Under the shelter. Starts at 6:00PM


July 20th; Sunday, Combo Trap and Skeet Shoot; 50 16yard, 50 handicap, 50 skeet,  $20.00 per event, Lewis Class, enter as many times as you want. Poster to be sent.


July 22nd; Tuesday, Monthly Meeting; 7:00PM


August 19th; WHS/MS CCC practice shooting begins


August 26th; Tuesday, Monthly Meeting; 7:00PM


August 27th; Wednesday, end of Summer Trap League. More info to follow


September 1st; Monday; LABOR DAY SHOOT. Will send out flyer with more info. 


September 23rd; Tuesday; Monthly Meeting; 7:00PM
